Los Angeles Engagement Photographer
Engagement sessions sit in a season that moves quietly before everything begins to accelerate. I photograph couples across Los Angeles who want their images to feel grounded, personal, and emotionally honest.
My approach begins with gentle structure. I give you a starting point, a way to stand, a direction to move, and then let you settle into each other naturally. When something real unfolds, we lean into it. The goal is not performance or perfect posing, but presence.
Whether your session is part of wedding preparation or simply a way to remember this chapter of your relationship, the images are meant to hold both the anticipation of what is coming and the steadiness of where you are now.
Featured Engagement Sessions
Every couple carries their own rhythm. The sessions below reflect moments that do not rely on spectacle, but on the quiet ways two people settle into each other.
Within the Garden: Michelle & Chris
Chris reached out on short notice, planning to fly into Los Angeles with two weeks to quietly pull off his proposal. With the help of friends, the session unfolded in a semi-private space not designed for photography, shaped by constant movement from other visitors, roaming security, and limited time. The focus became finding brief pockets of privacy and intimacy as moments appeared and disappeared. The result is a series shaped by motion, proximity, and moments held just long enough.
Not every session takes place in Los Angeles. When a city carries its own history within a relationship, it becomes part of the story.
The City as Witness: Cindy & Stephen
This engagement session was shaped as much by place as by relationship. Stephen and Cindy have spent the last four years building their life in San Francisco, and it felt important that the locations reflected how they actually experience the city. We photographed places they return to often, shaped by everyday routines like morning coffee and pastries, shared meals, late night drinks, and favorite pizza spots. Rather than using the city as a backdrop, the session moved through spaces that already held meaning, creating images that feel personal, grounded, and connected to how they live together.
